Information About Kate - Forest Hill teacher
This is how 5 referees rated Kate:
I have a 2:1 in Music from the University of Edinburgh. I have eight years of classroom teaching experience in secondary schools. I have taught music theory and the piano to many students and really enjoy making concepts and techniques clear and easy to grasp. I love working with both children and adults.
I have taught beginner piano to both children and adults for many years. Many of my students have chosen to take grade exams and have done very well. I love teaching music theory too. I have taught at Dartford Grammar School and The Grey Coat Hospital as a secondary school music teacher.
I find out what my students want to gain from their lessons with me and then try to support them in that. For those who want to progress quickly and take grade exams, I teach them through the ABRSM syllabuses. For those who want to learn for fun, I introduce music in many different styles and often arrange music to make it an appropriate standard for them.
