Information About Julian - Durham teacher

Personal Description:

I am a guitar, ukulele and music tutor based in Durham City and teach at local primary schools through supply agencies.

I have a PGCE in Primary Education and have been teaching in schools for almost 3 years. I have played guitar for 13 years and been in bands playing many different kinds of music including rock, blues, country and acoustic, and do solo gigs with some singing too! Additionally, I have strong knowledge of music theory and play the piano.

Tutoring Experience:

PGCE and QTS in Primary Education - 3 years of experience teaching various year groups in primary schools.

5 years of guitar and ukulele teaching experience, including one to one lessons and lessons in small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer a individually catered approach to learning instruments for children as young as 5 to adults. I'll get you playing songs straight away and help you learn the music you want to play. I believe learning an instrument should be fun and engaging and that it can be a great confidence builder for anyone. Give it a try!
