Personal Description:

I am Josh, a Digital Music and Sound Art student at Brighton university. I have studied music and music technology at A level as well volunteered in education at both primary and secondary school level. I have a grade 6 distinction in acoustic guitar on the rgt exam board and am capable of playing some grade 8 pieces. I am however not qualified to teach anything at a graded level but can teach you informal music theory and the basics of guitar/bass/ukulele.

Tutoring Experience:

I have volunteered in productions and recording of both primary school and secondary school students. As well as help them to perform at School concerts and teaching some GCSE music lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

Take the idea there is no right way to play guitar when it comes to tuition so I focus more on improvisation and creativity, as well as the basic skills, hopefully allowing the player to find their own way around the fretboard and create their own style. Comfort is key and developing an understanding from their perspective is ideal. "If it sounds good its good"
