Tutoring Experience:
Ten years' experience teaching across a variety of ages and abilities. I have taught in a diverse range of educational settings, including home tuition, online, private studios, schools, and charities.
Tutoring Approach:
A flexible and personalised approach to teaching, which caters for each student's individual needs and ambitions without ever losing sight of what is required to achieve technical proficiency and sound musical understanding. Students are encouraged from an early stage to try to learn pieces by themselves, in order to cultivate self-reliance and strong sight reading skills. When teaching children I like to work closely with parents to help them support their child's learning. Gradings optional but supported 100% pass rate for ABRSM, Trinity and MBT exams.

We've agreed to start aiming for the ABRSM graded exams since, for now, i have no real end goal to reach and already i can see his previous teaching techniques flow nicely into learning the skills needed for the exams.
I'd highly recommend Josh as a piano tutor. He is such a great guy to talk to and his teaching and exercises are always relevant to the task at hand. He has personalized our lessons to such an extent that i sometimes feel i'm his only student!
If i could give more than 5 stars, I would.
