Information About Joseph - Clydebank teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Joseph:
I am a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and taught in schools for 36 years, 26 of these as a Head of Department in a Glasgow secondary school. I am married with 2 grownup sons. My other interests include sketching and painting as well as writing and producing pantomimes for my local church!
I am passionate about singing, and have presented pupils in SQA National exams (all levels) as well as ABRSM and Trinity College exams. Over the years I have worked with children and adults of varying degrees of experience and ability.
Every student is an individual, each with their own abilities and potential for development. I aim to find out what inspires and motivates each person I work with. My strong belief is that everyone can sing, though they may not necessarily be able to sing well at first. My job as a singing teacher is to encourage each person discover and develop their latent talent. This requires patience and dedication from both the teacher and the student. With hard (but enjoyable!) work, many obstacles can be overcome. Above all, lessons should bee fun as well as progressively building technical ability. Confidence comes from knowing how the voice works, and having the ability to control it.
