Personal Description:

I'm an experienced tutor able to teach any age or ability. My lessons are tailored to suit those learning just for fun or wanting to work towards ABRSM graded exams. I try to keep my lesssons fun and informative to get my pupil to where they want as quickly as possible.

I teach anything from Classical through to Jazz through to Rock/Pop. I allow my pupils to take charge in their own tuition, letting them decide on what they would like to learn and help them to develop strategies to reach their own goals.

I am happy to travel to your own home to tutor. I currently hold a clear DBS check certificate and can provide references upon request.

My rates are £13 per half hour, with initial consultation lessons free of charge.

Qualifications:

BA(hons) Music
BTEC Music Practice
Music and Technology Training

If you have any enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact me. Hope to hear from you soon.

Tutoring Experience:

Over 5 years of full time professional tuition.

Tutoring Approach:

I endeavour to stray away from a strict curriculum. I find that they tend to suffocate the pupil rather than let them grow as a musician, however, I can tutor towards an ABRSM graded exam if a pupil wishes me to do just that. I try to teach professionalism and musicianship within my lessons so the pupil doesn't just sound good while playing but also knows how to present their work successfully. I tutor from the pupils own home. Lessons are given weekly or fortnightly, and are 30 or 60 minutes in duration. Tuition is usually provided on a one to one basis, however small groups can be considered.

*INITIAL CONSULTATION LESSON FREE OF CHARGE*.
