Personal Description:

A professional Pedal Steel teacher offering 1-to-1 online lessons and introductory session from my home in NE London. I have over 20 years' experience as a gigging steel player.

I have 3 years' experience as a pedal steel teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

It's my aim to make lessons fun, engaging and highly informative. There's no reason anyone with the right mindset can't get going very quickly on pedal steel guitar with a methodical approach and good technique. It's important for me to provide value for money for students so I pack a lot into the lessons, use multi-camera angles, provide teaching materials, number-theory, backing tracks and individual lesson summaries so we can track your progress and keep repetition to a minimum.

You will need a 10-string E9th pedal steel with 3 pedals and at least two knee levers. At least 20 minutes of daily practice is needed to progress with the various skills you need to master, so some level of commitment is required from the student. My biggest kick is to inspire people enough that, far from a chore, practising becomes so much fun they can't go without it!
