Personal Description:

Hello! I am a freelance drummer and teacher. I have excellent live experience, having worked with various singers and songwriters, originals bands and function/covers bands and performed all over the UK and Europe. I have been privileged to receive incredible tuition over the years from some of the best players and tutors in the country.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching drum kit in priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons and in schools since 2005. I currently teach all levels of drum kit. I am experienced in teaching individual lessons, as well as group lessons of 2-20 and mentoring other instrumentalists in 'band workshop' environments. I have completed the EduCare/NSPCC Child Protection Awareness in Music course.

Tutoring Approach:

My objectives are that my tutees enjoy their drumming and improve on the instrument. To achieve this I ensure we work on material that is relevant to their playing style and in line with their personal goals on drum kit, and tailor lesson structures to suit their learning style. I use a wide range of teaching materials to ensure a well-rounded approach to learning incorporating material I have written myself and material that I have found to be effective from well-respected books or courses. Grades are often a popular choice and I can teach both Trinity and Rockschool syllabuses in which I have 100% tutee pass rates.
