Personal Description:

Hello there! I am a session Saxophonist, proficient on alto, tenor and baritone. I have a wealth of experience having toured extensively, and internationally, with pop band, 'The 1975'. Venue credits include Madison Square Garden, The London O2, The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and The Royal Albert Hall. I have also appeared as a soloist on both *1 selling albums released by the band.

Stylistically my strengths lie in playing Jazz, Funk, Soul and Pop.

I have a BA Hons Degree in Jazz Studies, and hold an enhanced DBS Certificate.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching experience is for the most part in 1-1 saxophone tuition. I have regular students that visit my home in Wood Green, North London. On Monday evenings I teach at **Removed By Admin** (SE London) and Tuesday evenings at **Removed By Admin** (N london). I take on students of all ages and abilities. My youngest student is aged 7, and my eldest is aged 70.

In addition to Saxophone tuition I provide Music Theory lessons. These lessons are catered to all instrumentalists and/or composers, and focus on the creative application of Music Theory with the individual's musical endeavours in mind.

Throughout touring stints I maintain a busy teaching schedule by hosting lessons via Skype. Skype tuition has proven to be very effective, allows me to take on students overseas and also sustain the rate in progress with my students.

I also have experience in delivering workshops and seminars in schools and music colleges. The seminar I deliver sheds light on the reality of touring, and conveys the notion of instilling confidence through focusing on your own strengths.

Tutoring Approach:

Above anything I aim to provide tuition that inspires my student, and feeds their curiosity and passion for music. Playing, practising and performing music should always be expressive and therapeutic. As much as I want to challenge and push my students to improve I ensure that they feel relaxed and comfortable, be it in my home or at their own place.

I have always been an advocate for communicating the importance of music theory. Nonetheless, keeping in mind my experience of extensive and international touring, creative application within an inspiring context is just as important to me. If not crucial. I have felt at first the hand the satisfaction of utilising the skills I teach, in venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Royal Albert Hall, The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, and The O2 Arena.
