I am passionate about music and believe strongly that everyone should have the opportunity to explore their musicality with hands-on experience.
I have moved back to my hometown of Plymouth and am keen to run person-centred piano/music lessons where the student is able to specify what it is they would like to aim for and challenge themselves with, throughout their playing. I am originally classically trained (Grade 8, BA in Music) but also love improvisation, experimentation and keyboard styles in jazz/pop/dance music.
My previous experience includes facilitating piano lessons at Core Arts, an arts centre in Hackney for adults with severe and enduring mental health issues. I have led drumming workshops at a College for young people (16-25) with learning disabilities for the past year. Prior to this, I led performing arts workshops (including piano/keyboard) in Primary Schools across London.
I have a Level 2 British Sign Language qualification, which means I also offer to tutor in beginner's sign language and am also eager and able to work with hearing impaired students.

I can offer a patient, non-judgemental and personal approach which cannot be experienced from youtube tutorials alone!
