Personal Description:

I studied music at the Birmingham Conservatoire and then achieved my teaching qualification at Leeds University. I have performed at many venues including the Royal Albert Hall. I went on to become a successful primary school teacher for many years and still do a lot of teaching. I am Crb checked. I make learning fun.
I successfully teach children and adults.
My students get outstanding results.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over thirty years teaching experience in schools and personal music tuition. I have been both a successful performer and teacher. I have taught choirs, music ensembles and have produced and directed whole school music productions. I generally admit pupils to the ABRSM, Trinity or Rockschool if they wish to do exams although there is no pressure to do so.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning is fun, based on a variety of methods and always tailored to meet the needs of each individual. I teach both adults and children. You can learn for fun as an escape from the everyday pressures of life or work towards graded exams which are awarded university points! Ring or Email for a preliminary session. Just give it a go.
I usually recommend weekly half hour sessions. The rate specified is for HALF HOUR sessions.
I teach the piano on a beautiful baby grand.

I can successfully teach remotely too using FaceTime, Messenger, Skype or Zoom.
