Information About Joanne - Bewdley teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional player and teacher of cello with over 25 years experience of teaching adults and children.
I trained as a classical performer at Birmingham Cknservatoire and have a BMus Hons and a Masters degree in musical performance. Alongside teaching individuals I run weekly cello ensembles, a weekly chamber group and a community orchestra.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience in teaching in a variety of settings including specialist music school (The Elgar School of Music) for local authority music services and in several independent schools. I have a private teaching practise at home and teach individuals and groups at a venue that I hire, this is near Worcester.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching my students is very individual, and centres on the goals of the student, whilst aiming to achieve the highest standards of technique. Ensuring a comfortable and efficient bow technique alongside a mobile left hand is crucial to the comfort and enjoyment of the student. I aim to help my students achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams.
