Information About Jo-ling - Gloucester teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Jo-ling:
I achieved Grades 1-8 Violin at a young age, then went on to study Music at Bath Spa University for 3 years. There I became the Lead Violinist of Bath Spa University Orchestra.
In my performing career I have performed in many iconic venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, London. I studied with the British Suzuki Institute of Violin for 14 years and have now been playing violin for a total of 20 years and teaching for 7 years.
I teach within schools, privately in homes ( both pupils or my own), and at Gloucestershire Academy of Music.
I have a passion for teaching pupils violin, and find great reward and satisfaction in helping others reach their full musical potential.
Violin Teacher of all ages and abilities. I enter my pupils for the ABRSM Exams from Grade 1-8 and Diploma level onwards.
Music Theory Teacher of Grades 1-5. My passion for music overflows into my theory teaching. I believe it is important for theory to be engaging and inspiring, not boring and dull. My goal is always to teach pupils to love learning about the theory of music!
Lessons can be taught at my home or yours.
Not only do I aim to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning resulting in the best possible grades, I strive for my lessons to be an enjoyable and motivational experience, as I believe this drives pupils to achieve the best results (and the best sound). My teaching style encourages pupils to develop a strong sense of musicality, where the violin becomes instinctively natural to play and beautiful to listen to.
