Personal Description:
I'm a professional clarinettist, who graduated from Royal Academy of Music in BMus with First Class Honours and MA with Distinction and DipRAM for an exceptional final recital. I offer tailored individual lessons in Clarinet, Saxophone, Recorder, Flute and Music Theory. When I'm not teaching I perform with renowned symphony and orchestras in London (London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic), around the UK (Royal Northern Sinfonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic) and abroad (Irish Chamber Orchestra, RTÉ Symphony Orchestra). I also collaborate with various chamber music groups, which perform in music festivals in the UK and around Europe, mainly in Slovenia and Italy.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the last three years through creation of Lammas Green Music Studio, a music school and events collective. The studio provides individually tailored lessons and organises performance opportunities for all its students. We curate two recitals each year at St Stephen's Church in Dulwich, where pupils showcase their work.
I am also a Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher at Eaton House The Manor school in Clapham where I teach clarinet, flute, saxophone and piano to children between ages 5 and 12.
I have also held a chamber music fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music with Tritium Trio, providing chamber music and individual coaching to the highest standard.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach with the help of Paul Harris' Simultaneous Learning, which is the most holistic approach to music I have encountered. I believe that every student can succeed in the best possible way if the tuition is fun, empowering, varied and allows students to make connections. Together we set short and long term goals and create a positive atmosphere for work.

I provide lessons on clarinet, saxophone, recorder, beginner flute and beginner piano. Lessons can take place in person or online via Zoom platform.

Jernej’s teaching is warm, encouraging and his love of music is absolutely infectious - reaching out even by video conferencing lesson. He is also gentle, personable and an hour literally whizzes by. Within the space of that hour he somehow manages to cover a multitude of things that are technical and practical but so enjoyable that the learning process happens almost invisibly. It’s a real skill. My son looks forward to our lessons with him with much fondness and anticipation.
