Personal Description:

I offer face to face lessons at my home as well as online tuition.
I am classically trained and attended The Royal Academy of Music in London, where I was awarded a scholarship.
My qualifications are:
Grade 8 Pianoforte with Distinction.
Grade 6 Singing.
DipABRSM Piano (Teaching).
DipABRSM Piano (Performance).
Qualified Yamaha Music Teacher

Tutoring Experience:

I teach students of all ages and abilities, and have done so for a number of years.
I tutor private students and also am employed as a peripatetic teacher in schools.
The ages of my students range from 5 years old to adults, and from complete beginners, to students relearning, to pupils who have a far more advanced knowledge.
I have an enhanced recent DBS certificate.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a classical background, but I am flexible and committed to teaching any type of music that my pupils express a preference to learn.
I prepare pupils for ABRSM and Trinity exams, and can teach to all examination levels if they wish to follow this path.
I also teach people who want to learn for fun, or who want to improve on skills that they already have.
I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and encourage students to achieve the best that they can, and to reach whatever target they have an aspiration to achieve.
My priority is that pupils enjoy their lessons and consistently learn new skills, techniques and have a good understanding of musicianship.
