Personal Description:

Proffesional musician based in London with over 5 years of studio and live session work as a guitarist. I have been recording and performing in some of London's best known studios and venues over this period. I teach at a private Air conditioned recording studio near Dollis Hill tube station (Jubilee Line), I can also travel to the student's house including travel expenses, however lessons in recording and production techniques can only be done at the studio.

Some of the artists and producers I've worked with include Mark Opitz (ACDC, INXS), Liam Watson (White Stripes), Steve Parsons (Ginger Baker, Sharks), Barry Sage (Rolling Stones, New Order), Saul Ashby, Eden James, Pete Brown (Cream), Rob Bravery, The Lost Society and Eron Falbo.

Tutoring Experience:

Over 4 years teaching experience in Guitar and Music Theory in all styles except Classical and Heavy Metal.

Tutoring Approach:

My expertise lies in helping students get the desired sound and enjoyment out of their guitar. As a working guitarist I also have extensive knowledge of guitars, pedals and amplifiers, and how to get a great sound out of your equiptment.

For beginners, we can work on basic technique, strengthening the fingers, and most importantly learning your favourite songs.

Intermediate level students can look at improving their technique, learning more of the fretboard, looking at improvisational based music, or just getting into some new ways of enjoying the guitar.

Advanced level students can delve into Jazz theory and improvisation, soloing techniques, composition, and fretboard mastery.

For any students wishing to get into playing live or recording, I can take you through audition preperation tips, recording tips and techniques, and whats involved in playing live.
