Personal Description:

I’m an Electric and Acoustic Guitarist with 13 years of experience; in this time I have played as an accompanist for many singers, played countless gigs and have featured on many recordings.

My career highlights include:

Recording at Abbey Road Studios with Cloudi Lewis – Electric Guitar & Backing Vocals

Releasing Cloudi Lewis’ Debut EP in March 2013 – Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Piano, Organ, Keyboard

Supporting Producers – Featuring Trevor Horn (The Buggles), Lol Creme (10cc), Stephen Lipson (Producer for Paul McCartney & Annie Lennox) and Ash Soan (Session Drummer for Adele)

Supporting Rachel Sermanni – An upcoming folk artist

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a working tutor in Salisbury for 7 years and have been fortunate to have developed a successful [and busy teaching!] practice. I am also a peripatetic guitar and ukulele tutor at the Wellington Academy, Wellington Primary Academy and Wellington Eagles schools in Tidworth.

I have previously been employed as a Battle-of-the-Bands mentor by Southampton Solent Univeristy, as a visiting lecturer for the BTEC Music courses at Wiltshire College and Totton College, and also assisted the music course at Andover college as a Learning Support Assistant.

Tutoring Approach:

Relaxed, professional guitar and ukulele lessons in Salisbury, Wiltshire. I have been teaching in the area since 2013 working with ages from 5 to 65!

My approach as a tutor is to get you playing real, recognisable songs as soon as possible. Think of your favourite artists – any of them from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran can be used to teach you the skills you need to become a great musician whilst having fun doing so.

Learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience that keeps you motivated to practice and always excited to learn more. By working to the Rockschool Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, or Ukulele programmes we will always remain productive while keeping flexible in which songs you choose to learn.
