Personal Description:

I started working as a private flute teacher in my first year of University (London College of Music), of which I learned most of my teaching techniques from my teachers and their contemporaries.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been taught by and worked with: Marlene Verwey (named as the 2012 Rising Star Flautist by Sir James Galway), Chris Hankin ( sub-principle flautist in the London Chmber Orchestra) and Emilie Capulet (an award- winning internantional concert pianist, lecturer, writer and musicologist

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in the power of listening. Our first lesson will be about you and where you would like to progress in music and flu**Contact Detail Removed**arning - whether it is simply for fun or you would like a career out of it!
I like to motivate my students and push them to be the flute player that they want to be!
My priority is that my students enjoy their music lessons and are willing to learn more instead of me pushing them to learn something they would not like to pursue.
Our lessons will consist of: practical based learning, talking a lot about your goals and aims and where you would like to go in terms of your flute progression. This, I feel, is important in a musicians point of view as it keeps a structure to our lessons and focuses on what YOU would like to do! I like my students to have a journal where we can track and write in our lessons so we can monitor our progress and have a plan in place so we can have a successful and positive lesson for us!
