Information About Havva - Hull teacher

Personal Description:

Havva is a passionate, Cyprus-born musician who enjoys a musical career as a pianist and a piano teacher. In addition to playing piano, she is also a violinist. Having achieved Grade 8 with the ABRSM on both of her instruments in 2019, she decided to move to the UK to enhance her understanding of music making, and develop her skills at the University of Hull. During her studies, she received lessons from professional musicians, had a chance to experience teaching and working with people from different backgrounds in different age groups. As she holds Grade 5 music theory with ABRSM, she can also make it easy for you to progress and understand the fundamentals of music making theoretically. Havva graduated with honours and earned her Bachelor of Music with a first-class degree and more recently her Master of Music degree.

Tutoring Experience:

Havva has experience with students of all levels and ages. She believes that music has an important role in everyone’s life. As a teacher, Havva is dedicated to discovering the best in every student, regardless of whether they are new to instruction, returning after many years, continuing study after conservatory, or pursuing a professional path.

Tutoring Approach:

Havva will begin by discussing the student's goals and needs. After a brief chat, if the student has prior experience, she will ask to hear a piece representing the level at which the student currently performs. She will then use this information to assess what the student needs to work on. She will then design a lesson tailored to the student's individual needs. Havva understands that every student is unique and is keen to find the best way to communicate. She looks to create a nurturing environment, which allows her students to flourish. She believes that providing a safe, supportive space to learn is essential for success.
