Personal Description:
I first picked up a pair of sticks when I was about 12 years old, just after starting high school. My first taste of performing was with one of the school bands and not long after I joined a few bands outside of school and started playing some small gigs around the Manchester area. After just a couple of years drumming started to turn into a professional career.
In 2007 & 2008 I was a finalist in the Young Drummer Of The Year competition which was a platform to move onto bigger and better things.
Now, after playing for just over 10 years I've already gained a name for myself within the industry and have gained a huge amount of experience in both live and recording situations.
I have already at the age of 23 toured the world including several tours of the USA with various artists and played some of the biggest venues in the country including the O2 arena in London in front of 20,000 people.
I have recently taken on many new musical projects and more recently I have set up group master classes for younger players encouraging them to have fun drumming and help improve their confidence and performance skills.
I have also recently set up a new drumming education channel on youtube aiming at more skilled players, sharing new and challenging ideas.

Tutoring Experience:
I have experience teaching all ages and abilities and have previously taught in schools and colleges in and around Manchester. I offer 1:1 tuition and also offer group sessions specifically aimed at improving confidence and getting pupils to play in groups with other musicians.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is simple, learning drums is FUN!
Lessons can be tailored to each pupil individually and set up in a way that they can learn whilst having fun. If pupils simply want to take up drumming as a hobby and see if it is for them that is fine, or If pupils wish to take their grades then we can set up a lesson structure and time plan to get through the material and book an exam date.
Ultimately its about having fun!
I normally do try to encourage pupils to take up reading and learn how to read drum notation simply because I believe this a skill set that can come in handy as a drummer and also means you can improve your playing by reading exercises and teach yourself new things.
