This is how 2 referees rated Graham:
I’m a composer, piano and music theory teacher. I offer piano lessons, as well as theory and composition tuition. Also, help with AS and A2 level composing, and those preparing for university entrance to a music course.

I've worked as a private teacher for many years. I also tutor for the South West Music School and have previously worked for the Open College of the Arts.
I recognise that every student has different musical tastes and aspirations and it’s for me to help them explore and develop these.
I like lessons to be relaxed and enjoyable, and a chance to not just extend technical skills but also to gain a deeper musical understanding. My students do exams if they wish to but some prefer to progress without exams, and that’s fine with me.
Although I encourage my pupils to explore the classical repertoire I take a very broad approach to the music that we use and am happy to study popular music, show tunes, rock, blues/jazz, tango, or anything else! Improvisation can also be a part of what we do if that’s of interest to you. Music is so much more than just ‘the notes on the page’.
As a member of the European Piano Teachers Association I like to keep up with latest developments in teaching methods and repertoire.
