Hi, I'm Georgina. I am 23 years old, originally from Yorkshire but now based in North London! I am a professionally trained singer and actress.
I first started singing lessons when I was 10, with a professional Opera singer named Elizabeth Cameron. I took my Grade 8 LCM exam with her, in Musical Theatre, which I was awarded a distinction for.
I first trained at Read Dance and Theatre College where I was awarded The Stage Scholarship to study. Whilst studying her I developed a more contemporary sound whilst studying the Estill Voice Training model.
I then went on to train at the prestigious drama school Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where I gained a BA in Performance (musical theatre). Whilst here I had advance voice, singing, acting and dance lessons.
Upon leaving, I have worked extensively in new musical theatre productions. Including work at the Waterloo East Theatre, The Other Palace Mercury Musicals and at the BEAM festival.
I have been teaching for 7 years and have taught singing, musical theatre, dance and drama.
I began my teaching journey assisting at The Pauline Quirke Academy in Leeds, where I grew up.
I continued to assist at Berkshire Theatre School in Reading whist training at 'Read'. Whilst at Mountview I taught for schools such as Stagecoach and Jigsaw. I also do Princess Parties in which I dress host a party, staying in character the whole time, whilst singing songs, leading games and story telling.
Depending on the individual, I have a wealth of experience to cater to each individual client. My lessons use backing tracks rather than piano, so I can really focus on the performance quality and technique of the person.
I have a friendly and personal approch that will help you to push out of your comfort zone and learn to really love singing.
This could be for audition preparation, for fun or personal improvement. My speciality is musical theatre and we will really focus on how to warm up successfully using all aspects of the voice, from range to quality. We will then focus on material which could be brought by the client or suggested material from me after I have listened to your voice type.
