Information About Georgina - Paddington teacher

Personal Description:

Hi there! I started learning piano at 6 years old and Flute at 9 and have adored them ever since. I obtained my Grade 8 in both instruments at 17 years old and after graduating from Leeds University studying music, am now a private piano and flute teacher based in London. I am a friendly, encouraging and supportive tutor who will teach and guide you to either working towards grades (ABRSM) or learning pieces just for fun and improving technique and musicality! No one is ever too old to start learning (my step dad did two years ago and is now at Grade 5 level!) so my lessons are open to all ages.

Due to the current climate my lessons are available either in person or on Zoom. If it is to be in person, then we can discuss how to do this safely whilst still getting good work done in our lessons. Message me if you’re interested - thanks!

Tutoring Experience:

I have previously taught several colleagues whilst at University in basic piano skills, and have privately tutored Flute and Piano to one student over several months (Year 2). They progressed very well, however unfortunately this had to stop as they moved away. I learned so much about how to be an effective and skilful tutor during time.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to make each lesson a fun, interesting and valuable one. Each student is different, so I tailor my approach depending on their ability on the instrument and how quickly they learn new skills. My main aim is to help aid the student to be where they want to be confidently and know that they are improving or at a level they are happy with.
