Personal Description:

Hello!
My name is George, Iā€™m 23 years old and I am a professional performing and teaching musician.
I began learning piano at the age of 7, working my way through the Classical grading system before switching my attention to Jazz. At age 17 I took the examination for my Diploma in Jazz Piano with London College of Music (DipLCM), achieving a score of 97%. I then accepted an offer to study Jazz Piano at Leeds College of Music under the tutalige of internationally renowned pianists Ivo Neame, Les Chisnal and David Newton.
In 2017 I graduated from Leeds College of Music and began life as a professional performing musician. I now regularly perform across the UK both as a solo musician and as a part of bigger groups/ensembles.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching Piano/Keyboard lessons for over 3 years. In this time I've taught a wide spectrum of students, from complete beginners to post grade 8 and degree level musicians. I particularly specialise in Jazz, Pop and Boogie Woogie style piano, but have worked with students looking to learn Classical piano also. I have an up to date Enhanced DBS Check certifying your child's safety. I work with children of all ages in schools and educational facilities as well as at home. I reccomend that lessons should be held at the student's house if they are under the age of 10.

Tutoring Approach:

I find teaching to be an incredibly rewarding process that offers something very different to performing on large stages. I enjoy working with students, helping them to discover their potential. All of my lessons are tailored specifically to the indivdual. I pride myself on finding unique ways and methods to help students develop their skills quickly, whilst ensuring they retain that passion that sparked their musical journey.
