Information About George - Manchester teacher

Personal Description:

I'm a guitarist who's been in bands for years, I've been playing for around 10 years now and have a first class degree in music with performance. I'm currently studying my PGCE in Music with Instrumental training at Man Met/RNCM and plan on continuing for their Masters of Education program next year.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm currently teaching in classrooms 3 days a week in school as part of my placement, the course I'm taking is very specialist in that it teaches not only how to teach music but how to teach instruments, mine being guitar - the pedagogy is lead by the RNCM's expert guitar tutor, Dario, who has decades of experience.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in an entirely hands on approach, I like to get students learning songs they like and actually playing the instrument as quickly as possible. How much control you'd like over the content of the lessons is entirely up to you, if you'd like to focus on grades and theory that's perfectly fine, however if you just want to learn how to play some guitar that's great as well, I mould my approach to each specific student. If you're not sure, I have a program that I follow and then we can go from there.
