Personal Description:

**Removed By Admin**, Cardiff, offers piano lessons in a warm, friendly and fun environment for both the young and young at heart. I run the studio from my home along with three other fully qualified piano teachers and together we have enabled our students to achieve a 100% pass rate in the Associated Board Royal School of Music Examinations, grades one to eight.

I believe that music is for everyone and that it’s never too late or too early to start learning. My lessons include a wide range of music from classical and romantic to rock and pop. I embrace teaching all styles and at all levels – from Bach to The Beatles - providing you with techniques to achieve any style of piano you wish.

Staff at the **Removed By Admin** are dedicated to helping pupils excel, though we also understand how important it is that the piano studio remains family friendly. We are more than happy for parents to stay during lessons and discuss their children’s progress. It’s a lesson I learned from my own inspirational teacher Jacqueline **Removed By Admin**, a very well known figure in Cardiff, noted for her many years of excellent teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

My love of music was sparked at the age of five, when I was taken to church for the first time. I am now a piano teacher who is passionate about helping my pupils develop their musical talents. My music school is very successful, with a 100% exam pass rate.

Church and sacred music are very important to me and I am part of a vibrant musical community in the Parish of Roath. I was educated at St. Teilo's Church in Wales High School. At 16 I became the organist for St. Teilo's Church. I am now the organist at **Removed By Admin**Church and assistant organist at the daughter church of **Removed By Admin**. I play at services and regularly perform piano solos at concerts and concertos with the St.**Removed By Admin**

I have been performing as a paid pianist / organist since the age of 16 for weddings and recitals. I also love to take music to people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to listen to live music, including my recent performance in the chapel of the **Removed By Admin** Hospital, that was also broadcast to patients via the Hospital Radio.

As a teacher and performer I aspire to the highest standards. I achieved grades 5 to 8 in piano within 18 months. I was awarded the Henry, Edith and Constance Haddon Memorial Prize for 3 terms running, for achieving the best marks in grades five, six and seven, from all the candidates in South Wales. I was also awarded a scholarship to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where I did my first diploma (DipABRSM) under concert pianist Fazliddin Husanov. I continue to aim high and am currently working on my second Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 with full orchestra and also my LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music).

I am a peripatetic music teacher at **Removed By Admin** Primary School in Grangetown and**Removed By Admin**Comprehensive in Barry, where I also lead the school choir.

Tutoring Approach:

For children wishing to learn about piano and music, my lessons are fun and engaging, encompassing note recognition and rhythm, through friendly and entertaining repetition. I also ensure that younger pupils gain a full appreciation of the history of music, music in the world today and how to achieve a deep sense of musicality themselves. The studio welcomes both those who purely desire to play for fun and enjoyment, as well as those who wish to sit exams.
