This is how 3 referees rated Fiona:
Hello! My name is Fiona and I studied music for four years at Strathclyde University, where I gained an Honours Degree in Applied Music with Specialisation with Education. Music is one of my great passions and I thoroughly enjoy teaching it both in a classroom setting and privately. I am fully GTC (General Teaching Council) registered and am a member of the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.
I have taught Secondary Music for 11 years at all levels, from National 3 through to Advanced Higher. I have eight years experience in teaching piano. I have a 100% pass rate with pupils that I have entered for ABRSM exams. I have experience in teaching all ages. I have also privately tutored pupils who are studying for their Understanding Music exams at National 5 and Higher level.
Yourself or your child will learn in a friendly, encouraging and relaxed environment as I believe that learning an instrument should be fun! A typical lesson will include a bit of theory, scales and working on pieces that will develop technique and ability. I have taught many of my pupils long term which I feel shows how much they enjoy their lessons! I have excellent working relationships with my pupils and their parents or guardians. If you have any questions at all, please get in touch!
