Information About Felicity - Oxford teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Felicity:
I am a professional cellist and a founding member of the **Removed By Admin**; the Wigmore Hall Learning/Open Academy Fellowship Ensemble 2018/19. As an ensemble we are passionate about performing to the highest possible level both in the concert halls and directly within the community.
After starting teaching during my undergraduate degree I have years of experience teaching cellists from beginner to post grade 8, including many adult students. I am classically trained but also have a lot of experience with improvisation. I have coached the cello sections of the Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra and Oxfordshire Schools' Symphony Orchestra on courses and tours for many years, as well as mentoring young musicians in the National Childrens' Orchestra. As an undergraduate I was a Leverhulme Mentor to the cellists in the Royal Birmingham Junior Conservatoire. I was also invited to teaching on the Oxford Cello School Adults’ course.
Online teaching: I have a specialist set up and fast internet for online teaching via Zoom. I have taught all my students online during the Covid Pandemic and found it to be very successful!
I hold a valid DBS (Enhanced Certificate) and I am registered on the DBS update service.
I am passionate about teaching and coaching musicians of any age and believe strongly in the huge benefits learning an instrument can have on so many aspects of our lives. In my teaching, I think it is paramount to consider the needs and goals of each of my students individually and to try to support them with these in every way that I can.
