In Poland, she was a student of Professor Paweł Skrzypek at Karol Szymanowski State School of Music in Płock. Continuing her studies in England, she received a scholarship from the Royal College of Music, where she studied piano with Niel Immelman and Kevin Kenner. Parallelly, she also studied fortepiano with Geoffrey Govier, developing her passion for early music, and received her first degree from both of these instruments, graduating with distinction. Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Music in Performance degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she was a scholar (Stanley Picker Trust) and studied with Dina Parakhina.

She participated in numerous masterclasses, working with many internationally renowned musicians and pedagogues. In 2007 she participated in Morningside Music Bridge – summer music institute for young musicians of extraordinary talent (Calgary, Canada).

Tutoring Approach:

The primary aim of her high-quality teaching is sharing the love of music with others while opening the doors to the best possible results for each student. Professional & dynamic approach. Students of all ages and levels, learn how they can become independent musicians, even in the early stages of their learning. Alexander Technique rules are included in the teaching process, which helps to create good habits in posture and movements.

The individually tailored, enthusiastic and focused piano lessons cover detailed and thoroughly informed elements of technique (based on understanding your own body & hand laws), artistic values (interpretation, precision, styles, historical background, practical music theory), learning and effective practice strategies, as well as the first-hand performance & learning psychology. The students have fun and enjoy their music-making and the learning process.

Students are invited to participate in the class concerts as well as numerous festivals and exams if they wish to do so, although Ewa advocates for alternative routes of learning than the generalised system of grades - there is so much more to learn than limiting ourselves to an examination board's syllabus!
