This is how 2 referees rated Euan:
At the age of 17 I fell in love with playing the guitar and decided to pursue it further at college. Since graduating I have played in various bands resulting in the release of 5 EPs and 3 albums. In 2008 I started teaching guitar one to one part time alongside working as a Pupil Support Assistant. I really enjoy helping others learn to play from scratch and have a real passion for helping pupils develop their playing technique whilst having lots of fun.
Alongside teaching guitar one to one for 9 years I have supported children and young adults with additional learning needs through my role as both a Playworker and Pupil Support Assistant. I have taught the guitar to children as young as 5 and assisted young adults prepare for their school music exams. My lessons have helped pupils learn chords, scales, arpeggios and popular pop/rock songs. In addition to teaching guitar I also give pupils advice on how to write and structure their own songs.
My approach to music tuition is fun, structured and tailored to meet the pupils needs. Breaking down songs into smaller easy to manage sections, I help pupils to adjust their picking and strumming technique to make playing more fun and less daunting.
