Information About Eryna - Birmingham teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Eryna:
My name is Eryna and I am a cellist studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Growing up in a musical family, I have always had a passion for music. Through great opportunities with the Birmingham Schools Symphony Orchestra and CBSO Youth Orchestra, I developed a love for playing with others. I am enthusiastic about creating opportunities in music for young people as I believe this has the ability to enrich all aspects of their development, as it has my own.
I work well with all ages and have experience working with toddlers to high school students in an educational capacity. I was involved in the Stringcredibles CBSO project where I presented the cello with a string quartet to primary school children. My undergraduate degree covers different approaches in teaching. This has equipped me with the knowledge of various teaching practices. I am also a cello tutor with the ARCO project, a charity that provides online instrumental lessons for students in other countries.
I have a varied teaching approach using a combination of methods, such as Suzuki, Colourstrings and Kodály. I understand every student is a unique individual and I have the skill set to be able to adapt and accommodate different personalities. My main objective is always to create a positive learning environment so that students can enjoy the process of learning an instrument.
