Personal Description:
My name is Emma and I am a patient and friendly instrumental tutor who teaches music in a creative and thorough manner.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 8 years so far, privately and at the Birches Head Music School and the Amadeous Music Academy. Over the years I have taught pupils through the ABRSM standard and Jazz syllabuses and purely for pleasure. So far I have entered 33 pupils for exams, with most achieving at least high pass marks.
Tutoring Approach:
Lessons are taught in a relaxed and informal way, yet are thorough and effective. If you study for an exam, scales, sightreading and aural tests are prepared for well, in addition to your set pieces. Under 18s are invited to take part in fun practice schemes, to encourage and motivate. If you are learning for pleasure you also get to study scales, and pieces are carefully selected so that we can chart your achievements.
