Personal Description:
I am a former Head of Music Dept. in several Secondary schools in London and a professional drummer and composer with several teaching qualifications (PGCE, Licentiate in Music Teaching with specialisation in SEN teaching, Child Protection, Health & Safety, etc.) and a dynamic musician with years of experience in live performances, studio sessions, productions and music engineering.
Since the end of 2009 I moved to London where in 2010 I started attending the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance where I have studied for a BMus degree and where I have also achieved the qualification of sound engineer.
After achieving the BMUS degree in contemporary music and performance I decided to enrol for the MA in composing for film and **Contact Detail Removed**vision, to deepen my knowledge of the modern composing techniques and of the most sophisticated softwares of this field.
After achieving an MA I have completed a PGCE and started teaching as a secondary Music teacher. After only one year I have been promoted as Head of Dept and later on as Head of Music and Drama. During this experience I have developed my teaching skills and adapted my teaching in order to suit the different learning styles of my students, becoming able to develop skills for any student from any starting point.
As a drummer I have been working in projects that go from a one night show to an entire album covering different genres of music (from jazz to metal).
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a tutor, teacher, classroom teacher, Head of Dept. During the last 10 years I have been teaching privately (first approach to the instrument, technique, styles), in music academies (one-to-one technique lesson, group classes of styles), and in primary schools (first approach to the music: sounds and rhythms).

Tutoring Approach:
Tutor role is vital for students' progression and development as musicians. As tutors, we must be able to understand the level of engagement of students and work towards using engagement and motivation to foster development and progression. Motivation is key in my approach to teaching and this is the reason why I truly believe that an effective learning pathway should be planned in accordance to students' likes and dislikes.
