Personal Description:

I`m a 22 year old musician who has just finished my music degree at the university of Liverpool with first class honours and can`t wait to begin passing down my knowledge to younger generations.

I`ve been playing piano and guitar in live bands for over 12 years, have been composing music for 10 years, have been studying music theory and analysing classical and pop music for 8 years,

I would love to teach guitar, piano, music theory, composition, and tutor both GCSE and A Level music students!

As well as music, I am also passionate about playing football, watching Arsenal FC, skateboarding, reading fiction and philosophical texts, meditation, and comedy.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught piano and guitar to friends and family sporadically for 5 years and I spent 9 months as a sports coach in several primary schools throughout Greenwich borough in 2019 – so I'm used to working with children from the ages of 5-11.

Tutoring Approach:

For me, the best thing a teacher can do is inspire a lifelong passion. Of course, passing exams and collecting qualifications is a great way to prove your ability but I want students to come away from my lessons with a smile and a sense of pride that they are learning and improving their minds whilst having fun at the same time.

Music is about creativity, self-expression, a primal connection to our own humanity, and I believe fostering this positive attitude towards the subject must be emphasised as much if not far more than the importance of completing grades.
