Information About Dominic - Chiswick teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Dominic:
Hi! My name is Dom and I’m a trombone player and teacher currently studying at the Royal College of Music. I have a passion for teaching and music education and would love to be able to pass some of that on!
For the last two years I have been a tutor for the Surrey Arts music service working as a brass tutor the junior windband. This involves leading sectional rehearsals and helping out generally across the band in full rehearsals. This means that I have to be versatile and ready for any and all problems which may arise.
I am friendly and relaxed with children and always try and build a good rapport. If needs be though I will be more firm and disciplined.
Through my time at RCM I have completed a teaching course which involved organising and running a workshop about music in a local primary school.
I have also done work for Sparks, the RCM outreach programme.
I believe passionately in the benefits of learning an instrument, it encourages things like teamwork, good work ethic and most of all, a love of music.
As a teacher I will tailor my lessons to fit your specific demands. Whether you want to work through the grade system or just play for a bit of fun I will accomadate your needs to the best of my abilities.
I try to teach in a fun, hands-on capacity whilst also ensuring that there is consistent and steady progress.
I hope to hear from you soon!
