Personal Description:
I'm an enthusiastic and highly motivated multi-instrumentalist and producer who’s recently completed a master’s degree in Record Production at University of West London. I started playing music at eight when I began learning the piano in Scotland, playing classical pieces initially then moving into popular styles like rock, pop, soul, and funk. As my playing skills grew with the instrument, so did my confidence. When I moved to Southampton a few years later, I took up the guitar and drums, which boosted my love and passion for performing.
As I finished school, I completed my ABRSM Grade 6 Piano exam, after which I studied piano and played keyboards in multiple groups during sixth form college. While there, I completed the Rockschool Level 3 Contemporary Music Practitioner certificate in performance, showcasing my skills with the keyboard in a band setting.
During university, I continued my studies in music, in which I performed piano pieces up to Grade 8 standard for solo performance recitals and concerts by composers such as Scarletti, Chopin, Beethoven, Gershwin, and Debussy. Whilst completing my degree in BA Music with a 2:1, I achieved a Distinction in Rockschool Grade 7 drums in 2022. Since then, I have continued to practice and perform all three instruments on a regular basis in various bands.
As a musician, I thrive in a technical atmosphere, harnessing my abilities for these instruments. I strive to use each instrument to its fullest capability within my work. With this background, I am highly passionate and portray in-depth knowledge of music performance, which I bring into my role as a teacher.
