Personal Description:

I am a music teacher with substantial experience, based in the West London and Middlesex area. I play and teach piano and violin to an advanced standard, and also practice and teach composition. I trained in classical music but also enjoy and practice in jazz, folk, and other styles. I am enthusiastic about teaching music, and eager to help others experience and enjoy music to the full, enabling them to benefit from music personally, academically, and socially.

Tutoring Experience:

- Private tutor from from 2012 onwards.
- School and music service teaching from 2014 onwards.
- Adult college tutor from 2016-17.
- Experienced in 1:1, small group, and whole class music tuition.
- Teacher of classical, jazz, popular and folk styles; able to specialise in notation, aural and improvisation-based approaches.

Tutoring Approach:

In my music teaching, I work to promote overall musicianship, quality of technique, and sensitive performance skills. I seek to make music fulfilling and enjoyable, as well as valuable and relevant to wider personal and professional development. I not only love music myself, but also have a love of teaching music and helping my pupils develop their skills, appreciation, and expressiveness, and I seek to help them discover a love of music of their own.
