Personal Description:

I am currently teaching Piano from beginners up to Grade 8 level. I have a variety of qualifications in musicianship and piano expertise, including a Bachelor of music degree (Hons) (2:1 classification) and Grade 8 (ABRSM) in Piano as well as Grade 8 (ABRSM) in Voice.

I have been in various musical groups and have sung played and accompanied for several choirs. This includes working with some of the UK's best musicians and educators such as Christopher Bell, Paul Mealor and Gareth Malone. I teach in a variety of locations, including the North East of Scotland Music School on Huntly Street, and can also provide tuition at pupils' homes (dependent on students having a piano/keyboard).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION- Lessons are £27.50 per hour and £15.00 per half hour lesson for home /online tuition. There is a supplementary £5 charge per hour when lessons are taught at the music school.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching Piano and Voice for 8 and a half years (as of February 2021).

Tutoring Approach:

The aim is always to provide high quality tuition whilst keeping the student engaged and enthusiastic about their piano playing and general musicianship. I like to mostly use the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of music) syllabus for piano and vocal gradings, however I am open to using Trinity and Guildhall syllabuses as well. Theory is also an integral element of my approach to piano tuition.
