Information About David - Waterlooville teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated David:
From 1995-2001 I was an Examiner with OCR in GCSE and "A" level Music. In addition to teaching I hold the post of Organist at my local Parish Church.
My voluntary work includes the post of Secretary of the Royal School of Church Music for Portsmouth Mainland; I am an Independent Custody Visitor with Hampshire Police Authority, and I enjoy working on the local steam railway.
Five years' full time secondary school teaching, across the full age and ability range. Since 1987 I have taught privately; this includes some group tuition: children in school, and adults in Adult Education classes. My work currently includes one-to-one tuition in a local Preparatory School.
Normally I endeavour to include a variety of topics within a lesson, such as scales/other exercises, sight reading, aural and piece(s). When working through a piece I will link any part of it to a theoretical point or include a relevant aural exercise, if this seems appropriate, as I like to take a holistic approach, where possible.
