Recently arrived in London from abroad, in a career of over 25 years I have been privileged & honored to share the gift of music with students of all ages and abilities. I am a former student of world-renowned pianist Malcolm Bilson, and a specialist in the music of Beethoven as well as 18th and 19th century performance practice and aesthetics on both modern and historic instruments. In addition to piano tuition, I have been an active performer, accompanist, and composer working with many prestigious organizations including Harvard University, the Boston Ballet, Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung Berlin, Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Universität Bonn, Universität Nürnburg-Erlangen, and Boston University.
Over 25 years experience teaching/coaching, beginning to advanced/professional students, of all ages.
Conservatory approach incorporating historically-informed performance practice on both modern and historic instruments. Rigorous inclusion of theory and history for all repertoire considered. ***Please be advised that lessons will normally run from 90 to 120 minutes (or more, depending on what we're working on), but at _no additional charge_ to the student (ie while you'll only pay for one hour, we're likely going to go well over that).***
