Personal Description:

Composing and performing music is a particular passion of mine. I have professionally released four original albums, one with A Certain Shade (Reggae) in 2007 and three with my current band, The Sea Slugs (UK Afrobeat), in 2014, 2015 and 2017. As well as this, I have performed as a singer-songwriter for nearly 10 years, and was recently commissioned to compose a musical for Hampshire Music Services in collaboration with playwright, Zella Compton.

I regularly perform across the UK in the above band The Sea Slugs, who have recently returned from a month long European Tour of Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. I have performed at UK Festivals and venues across the country such as Common People (Southampton), Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Rhythmtree Festival (Isle of Wight), Turner Sims Concert Hall (Southampton) and the Camden Barfly (London).

Lead composer on prestigious South of England Music Services Musical.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been playing guitar for over 10 years, and in that time I have been studying, teaching, performing, recording and touring. Music has taken me around the world, performing and teaching in the UK and across Europe, as well as the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Over the last 3 years, I have lead workshops with The Sea Slugs for South of England Music Services, in both primary and secondary schools, and taught guitar peripatetically across Hampshire, working with young beginners up to more advanced players. I've also run after school clubs for groups and individuals across these instruments, Guitar/Bass, Piano, Vocals and Drums.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a passion for teaching and an eagerness to share my knowledge and experience with my students in the most communicable way, no matter the individuals ability, age or needs. I am an open and honest teacher and am able to adapt and tailor lessons to whatever the student wants out of their playing.

I teach all genres, though I have particular expertise in West African styles of guitar, Rock, Jazz and Reggae.
