Daniel is a guitarist and composer currently based in London, UK - originally born in Aberdeen to mixed British/Bruneian parents. Recently, his work in the fields of jazz and improvised music has brought him to venues such as The Jazz Café Camden, Kansas Smitty’s, Jazz In The Round, The Vortex and Symphony Hall Birmingham.
Daniel received musical education at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - graduating with a BMus(Hons) Jazz Guitar with first-class honours in 2018. He has studied on the Erasmus exchange programme at the Jazz Institut Berlin (UdK/Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler) and is now completing a Masters at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance. He is a proud Trinity College London Scholar and Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award recipient.
My professional experience in musical theatre, studio recording and contemporary music practice further highlight my versatility as a musician. I believe these qualities shape my unique and strong set of teaching skills.

I am a featured tutor for the Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) on their new online education platform, Journeys. I also teach 1to1 lessons, group guitar and ukelele in schools, rhythm workshops and specialist music workshops for toddlers and babies. I have also worked with A level music students, and have helped actor/musicians with successful auditions to their respective higher institutions.
My experience has been shaped through working with respected organisations such as the Cheltenham Festivals, Musicate, Becky Dell Music Academy, Stretto Music and Boppin' Bunnies.

Conservatoire-trained musician with experience in teaching a wide variety of ages and levels from EYFS pupils to adults. My work in schools, workshops, individual or group lessons aims to nurture each individual’s musical potential, holistically supported by theoretical, aural and rhythm-based development. Through my training, I have developed skills necessary to facilitate my freelance career, including audience engagement, group collaboration, project planning, effective time-management and administration.
