Information About Daniel - Stirling teacher

My name is Daniel. I'm a freelance musician based in Stirling. I am able to teach double bass, electric bass and piano.
I started learning electric bass at a young age and have played bands with a variety of styles including folk, punk/rock, motown, soul, pop and jazz.
I have also played piano since I was 8 and achieved my Grade 8 ABRSM with distinction in 2009.
My main area of expertise is the double bass. I have played the orchestral double bass professionally for 7 years. I graduated at the Royal Conservatoire in 2015 with BMus (First Class Hons) and spent a year studying with the principal of the New York Philharmonic at Manhattan School of Music in 2015-2016. I have had trials for jobs with both the BBC Philharmonic and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. I had experience of both orchestral and jazz double bass.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had experience teaching piano privately with 3 or 4 students at a time.

I have worked as double bass/electric bass tutor at Jordanhill School, Glasgow in 2016.

I cover teaching for string instruments in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Music Works.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very open with what people would like to learn.

For beginners I will of course start with basics but I am very open to people choosing their own pieces. Lessons should have both a mix of challenge and enjoyment!
