Tutoring Experience:
As an experienced teacher I have guided pupils from beginner and pre Grade 1 level to Grade 8 and diploma level. I have years of experience teaching all age groups, from 4 years to 50 and above. I teach cello, piano and double bass. I teach cello and piano from beginner to a grade 8 level and can teach french and german style double bass.
Tutoring Approach:
I have teaching resources that include kinaesthetic, visual and aural learning. I use analysis, demonstration and imagery to a great extent to help a student incorporate a new concept or find the key to a tricky passage of music. I create my own warm ups and exercises to develop the cellist’s technique and have a large range of study books which are approachable but educational.
