Information About Craig - Basingstoke teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Craig:
I am a full time guitarist, composer and guitar teacher in Basingstoke. I started playing guitar in 2006 after going to my first gig and being amazed by the guitar playing. I joined a classic rock covers band as their lead guitarist and played across Basingstoke. I quickly realised I wanted to teach others how to play the instrument so I took my grade exams, registered myself with the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT), and made myself a home studio - which is where I teach from.
I have been teaching guitar for about 18months now. I've taught complete beginners through to people who are already very competent on the instrument but either want to know more or want to take a fresh approach to their playing and everyone in between. I have taught a number students through their RGT Grade exams. I teach acoustic or electric guitar, and teach pop through to blues through to metal styles of playing.
I believe that every single student is different, so all of my lessons are tailored individually. I feel it is important to recognise this to maximise progress on the instrument. It goes without saying that guitar lessons should be fun, engaging and informative, so all of what is covered is done with those things in mind. I believe that it is incredibly important to get students to play and make their own music so learning to improvise and create music is something that I teach from very early on. Lessons with me cover rhythm playing, lead guitar playing and also theory - so students of mine will always be well rounded musicians
