Personal Description:

FIRST LESSON FREE!

I work as a full time musician and music tutor specialising in Bass guitar. I have a passion for bass and I'm very fortunate to have turned this passion in to a career. I have a degree from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and spent many years performing and teaching for a living in Surrey and London. Since recently moving back to home to Wales.

My goal is to help others who have an interest in bass to develop their skills and work towards their goals. I teach any level of bass from beginners through to advance. I also have a current DBS certificate in place

I am available to teach face to face and online, I have a teaching space and plenty of parking available at a my home in Penygroes. I can also travel to teach from your home if this is preferred

Tutoring Experience:

I have vast experience teaching privately with one on one sessions and have also taught larger groups so if you are looking for lessons for multiple students e.g. siblings to learn simultaneously, this is something I am experienced with

I work for The Rock Project running group sessions and workshops for all ages and abilities

I have recently been running lessons via Zoom and other similar video call software online. This has become increasingly popular in recent times with the pandemic. If this is something you're interested in, please feel free to get in touch and we can arrange your free session

Tutoring Approach:

My method of teaching is to tailor the lessons to the individual student. I usually determine this by discuss the students goals and motivation for learning bass in advance. Every student is different and I want to ensure that each student is getting the most out of every session. As an example, if someone wanted to learn bass for fun or learn some songs that they enjoy or to play in a band with some friends then it's unlikely that learning in depth music theory is the best course of action.
