Personal Description:

Claudia is a classical pianist, singer, teacher and performer. Her passion for music started at the age of 4 when she enrolled on the Yamaha Programme and went on to complete the JMC, JXC and JAC courses. As well as her piano qualifications, she also studied classical violin, voice and recorder, gaining several awards at musical festivals/concerts, Worthing and Chichester music festivals, and also studied the flute. Claudia went on to complete a BA, then her Masters in Music at Chichester University, while also gaining useful teaching experience through the West Sussex Music Service.

Claudia joined Matrix Arts Centre in 2015 after completing her Masters Degree, teaching the Yamaha Music Wonderland and Junior Music Course (ages 3-4), and also taking individual piano lessons. She is passionate about her teaching and believes that music education is very important in the early development of young children. She plays for the Abingdon Community Orchestra, at church services and in the choir at St. Edmunds Church, and St. Nicholas Church Abingdon.

Claudia is currently a member of the ISM and holds the ATCL Piano Teachers' Diploma, Trinity College London, Yamaha Music Teachers.

Tutoring Experience:

-Working with children in group classes ages 3-4 (@ Matrix Music School Sutton Courtenay)
-1 -1 piano lessons
-Prepare students for concerts and ABRSM exams
- Performing at concerts, choir, other music events, and church services-singing and playing church organ/piano (St.Nicholas, and St.Edmunds Church Abingdon)
-organise timetabling, prepare music for students, arranging classroom and music materials.
-conducting music lessons (as part of my music teaching)
-Accompany for exams, and concerts, and perform recitals of my own.
