Information About Christian - Grimsby teacher

Personal Description:

I am a professional guitarist and guitar teacher with over 20 years playing and teaching experience. I have taught in further and higher education and have both music and teaching qualifications. I enjoy teaching all levels of ability from beginner to advanced and all styles of music.

Tutoring Experience:

As a guitar teacher I have taught on many further and higher education courses including the contemporary music courses at North Links College and Broxtowe College. I hold an IMF teacher qualification from De Montford University as well as other music specific qualifications. I have also authored 3 guitar tuition books which have been published. I have also taught guitar privately to hundreds of students many of whom have successfully taken grade qualifications.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach acoustic and electric guitar and I enjoy teaching blues, rock, folk, jazz, country and theory. My approach is very student centred, no 2 students are alike and all need treating as individuals. I focus on the styles of music that you want to learn and I help develop technique, knowledge, understanding and ability. It's very important to me that you enjoy learning and that you have fun with music. Guitar lessons shouldn't feel like going back to school! I can offer formal exams if you wan't but this is optional, you can just learn for fun at your own pace.
