Information About Chris - Glastonbury teacher - (2 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Chris:
I am a visiting piano/keyboard tutor, working in the Glastonbury/Street area. I moved here with my partner in 2017 and we live up on the hill, overlooking Glastonbury town. I have been teaching piano for over 30 years. I would love to hear from you if you feel you'd like to learn or develop piano skills.
I qualified with a london College of music performance diploma in 1978. I began teaching piano and basic guitar in 1981. In 1983 I just concentrated on piano and music theory. I worked as a self employed piano teacher in the Midsomer Norton area until 1994. I've also been a band member and a church organist.
I like to make the lessons fun and exciting, but hopefully providing a life long interest in the reading and playing of music. Older pupils tend to have specific goals and styles they would like to develop. I do like to tailor these lessons and hopefully maintain their interest. I have always prepared pupils for ABRSM examinations. With me, these are optional, but v ery useful in setting out goals. The lessons are one weekly half hour/one hour session in your own home. Naturally you would have your own piano or keyboard, but if you'd like to discuss anything with me, feel free to get in touch.

I appreciate your kind comments.
I’m a shift worker so usually find it difficult to plan ahead or start any new courses. Luckily Chris is really understanding and accommodating ,working around my rotas allowing me to continue learning and would happily recommend him as a fine tutor who is an amazing and talented pianist.
I am pleased this is working out well for you.
