Personal Description:

My name is Chris, I'm 29-year old professional and fully qualified music composer and teacher based in Ealing Broadway, West London. Besides my proactive career in Music Composition area, I'm also very passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge and skills to help other people grow. I work with both adults and children and our lessons usually take place at my private teaching studio in Ealing Broadway.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 4 years of professional teaching experience, during which I have helped numerous students achieve their musical goals, from playing for fun to preparation to ABRSM Grades in Piano. I also have a vast experience in the area of Music Technology and Sound Production. I am currently providing 1:1 tuition in the area of Ealing, West London. I have previously taught Piano and Music Theory at the ArtsEd College in Chiswick.

Tutoring Approach:

I approach every student individually, first observing and assesing all existing skills (not only in the area of music, but also other abilities such as concentration, memory, natural body posture and more) and then shaping my teaching methods accordingly. Every student has their own, unique way of processing new information and the assessment part (which happens naturally during our first 3-4 sessions) allows me find out how to structure our lessons to make them as productive and enjoyable as possible. I always strive for a good balance of theory and practice, including learning how to play written music (read notes), recognise musical harmony, chords, theory etc.

Every couple of lessons or so we do a brief summary to see the outcome of the tuition, which helps to monitor progress and gives me an opportunity to adjust my teaching methods to help overcome any learning struggles.
